iMovie 09 Blogpost

In multimedia class we have been learning how to use iMovie 09. In iMovie 09 you can use a lot of tools to edit your movie and make it look better and the way that you want it too. Like one of the things in iMovie that you can change about your video is that you can make it less shaky. You can make it less shaky by using the stabilizing application. There are also different themes that you can pick in iMovie like scrapbook, or movie film or you can just keep it as your normal video if you like, but the themes make your movie look very cool! That is what we have been learning in iMovie 09

Gallery

Today in Multimedia class we went on a gallery walk through of everyones different projects. I really liked all the songs that everyone put together, it sounds cool when people mixed the songs.  In Morgan, I liked her theme of Italy and Rome and just the pretty places. And the effect that she used was the antique effect that I really liked how it brought out the significance of Rome. In Drew's project I like the Yeah 3x song and also the football theme was cool. In Alec's I liked the baseball theme and I like the color variation. He mad it rainbow on one of his pictures. On Zach's I liked the song "Hearts a stereo" in his presentation it had a good beat to it with the other song. I also liked the effect he did the dry brush because it looks like a painting. Max had a good project too, I really liked the songs that he put into the project and I like the neon glow effect, and I like how he replaced his face with Mac Millers.

In this class I think I am getting how to be more creative and how to edit things better. Make things brighter and sound better to make me like the way it looks or sounds and also make it look good for other people to look at it too. I really like this class because I have always loved editing pictures and I like editing songs that I like and making them mix together and make one big song that I like.

On the Air

Today I had to make a podcast all by myself because my boss left for a meeting. I decided to do an article about bullying since its been going around a lot lately. So today I found an article about bullying and I did my podcast on garage band. I recorded and then edited what I said in garageband. I thought it was a good thought out article and it gave a good meaning. Yes I think that it is quality work and it should go on air, because it has good sound quality and gives a good meaning.

I would do this process again because it was fun and I knew how to edit it well and I like putting out stories that everyone can listen to and learn from.

Photoshop Blog Post

In my multimedia class I have been using Photoshop which means I can change photos into what I want them to look like. I can use filters and also the cloning stamp, which means I can make my pictures look like they were on notepaper or take some things out of the picture that I do not want in my photo. My first picture is a picture that looks like it was written on notepaper, all I had to do was go to filter and pick which one I wanted and it was called notepaper. My second picture I used the cloning stamp to take a person out of my picture. I had to select the cloning stamp and find the colors next to the person and duplicate the image onto the person so it looked like no one was even there.

Hearing Loss

Today in Multimedia class we learned about sounds and noises and how people hear them. I learned that sound travels in waves, which is why you hear echoes sometimes. You can measure sound by how loud they are. Like a library would be softer, and then a night club or a concert would be higher on the scale. I learned that a lot of younger people are starting to lose their hearing because of ipods and other loud noises throughout the day. Even fire alarms, or fire trucks going by, things that are very loud throughout the day can hurt your hearing.
My class also watched a video about hearing loss from the Today Show. It was about this man that was  experiencing hearing loss and was embarrassed to wear a hearing aid, but the doctor showed him that you can have hearing aids that aren't even noticeable. Also in the video it showed Matt Lauer checking his hearing and even a little ear bud that he wears to work everyday can effect your hearing, also the video showed that you should get your hearing checked. When I watched the video I thought to myself that I listen to my ipod everyday, so I wonder how my hearing is? Or how it will be effected as I get older. I have to think about turning my ipod down, and going to a lower level of sound.
